Amazon added 500,000 items to Prime in six months by changing one key policy:<\/strong> Jason Del Rey at re\/code<\/a> reports that Amazon is making a change to its core shopping business aimed at making its Prime membership program more attractive. The recent change to a key seller policy has added 500,000 items to the catalogue of products eligible for Prime two-day shipping in just six months. Did Amazon scare Sainsbury\u2019s into a desperate Argos bid?<\/strong> Simon Neville<\/a> at The Independent<\/a> reports that as Amazon is set to join the grocery home delivery market, Sainsbury’s is reportedly “desperate” to acquire Argos. Sainsbury\u2019s has fallen behind the likes of Tesco when it comes to online operations, with the company still using individual store workers to pick up items on customers\u2019 shopping lists. Amazon Prime Video\u2019s Christmas viewing doubles in 2015<\/strong>: Digital TV Europe<\/a> reports that Amazon Prime members doubled their total viewing hours of Prime Video titles over the Christmas season compared to 2014. Amazon said that its original series, The Man in the High Castle, is the \u201cmost watched TV season ever on Prime Video\u201d. Amazon claims the series was the most watched TV season on Prime Video this holiday season by a factor of 4.5, whilst a \u201crecord number\u201d of movies were also watched on Prime Video in 2015. Amazon starts offering loans to customers with pay monthly option:<\/strong> Graham Ruddick<\/a> at The Guardian<\/a> reports that Amazon has started offering loans to customers buying products off its website in a move that could shake up the UK furniture and electricals market. Amazon Pay Monthly, offers customers\u00a0an option to pay monthly on orders of more than \u00a3400 on selected products.
