Amazon\u2019s founder and CEO, <a title=\"The History of Amazon and Jeff Bezos\" href=\"http:\/\/www.repricerexpress.com\/history-amazon-jeff-bezos\/\">Jeff Bezos<\/a>, has sacrificed short-term profits in favour of investments aimed at long-term success.<\/h4>\n<h2>Amazon Web Services Growing Fast<\/h2>\n<p>One of these long-term investments is Amazon Web Services (AWS), the company\u2019s cloud storage division which is <a title=\"BBC News - Amazon web services 'growing fast'\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/business-32442268\">growing quickly<\/a>. AWS generated $1.57 billion in Q1 2015 and is on track to generate $1 billion in profits this year.<\/p>\n<p>Jeff Bezos said,<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;<span class=\"skimwords-potential\">Amazon<\/span> Web Services is a\u00a0$5 billion\u00a0business and still growing fast \u2014 in fact it\u2019s accelerating.\u00a0Born a decade ago, AWS is a good example of how we approach ideas and risk-taking at\u00a0Amazon&#8230; We manage by two seemingly contradictory traits: impatience to deliver faster and a willingness to think long term. &#8220;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2>Amazon Revenue and Net Income Q1 2015<\/h2>\n<p>A look at some of Amazon&#8217;s numbers for Q1 2015.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Revenue<\/strong> recorded at <strong>$22.72 billion<\/strong> .<\/li>\n<li><strong>Net loss was $57 million<\/strong> compared to a net income of $108 million Q1 2014.<\/li>\n<li><strong>AWS revenue<\/strong> came in at <strong>$1.57 billion<\/strong>,\u00a0 up 49% from last year&#8217;s figure<\/li>\n<li><strong>AWS profits of $265 million<\/strong>,\u00a0up from $245 million last year.<\/li>\n<li><strong>North American<\/strong> net sales of <strong>$13.41 billion<\/strong>,\u00a0up 24% from a year ago.<\/li>\n<li><strong>International net sales<\/strong> of <strong>$7.75 billion<\/strong>,\u00a0down slightly from a year ago.<\/li>\n<li><span class=\"ccbnTxt\"><strong>Net sales for Q2<\/strong> are expected to be between $20.6 billion and $22.8 billion, or to grow between 7% and 18% compared with Q2 2014. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Infographic: More of the Same From Amazon | Statista\" href=\"http:\/\/www.statista.com\/chart\/1299\/amazons-revenue-and-profit-growth\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%; height: auto !important; max-width: 960px; -ms-interpolation-mode: bicubic;\" src=\"https:\/\/d28wbuch0jlv7v.cloudfront.net\/images\/infografik\/normal\/chartoftheday_1299_amazons_revenue_and_profit_growth_n.jpg\" alt=\"Infographic: More of the Same From Amazon | Statista\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>You will find more statistics at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.statista.com\/\">Statista<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Boost Your Amazon Profits<\/h2>\n<p>Jeff may not be too interested in profits at this moment in time but if you want focus on increasing yours, here&#8217;s four quick tips to boost your Amazon sales and profits.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Ensure you <strong>understand how shipping works<\/strong> and send your items as soon as you can.
