Amazon sellers pay a <a title=\"Amazon referral fee pricing\" href=\"http:\/\/services.amazon.co.uk\/services\/sell-online\/pricing.html\">referral fee,<\/a> based on the product category and on the total amount paid by the buyer for each item.<\/h4>\n<h2>Jewellery and watch sellers<\/h2>\n<p>Under Amazon referral fee changes, from Thursday 9<sup>th<\/sup> October 2014 jewellery and watch sellers will have to pay a minimum referral fee of \u00a31.25 per-item. However, all other product categories except books, music, videos, DVDs, software and video games, video games consoles, and grocery will have a \u00a30.40 per-item minimum referral fee. Kindle Accessories products will have a referral fee of 45% with a \u00a30.40 per-item minimum referral fee.<\/p>\n<h2>Lower priced items<\/h2>\n<p>It is important to note, that these changes only affect lower priced items. For example, in a category such as Sports and Categories, that has a 15% referral fee, a \u00a30.40 per-item minimum referral fee only applies to items with a total sales priced at \u00a32.66\/\u20ac3.32 and below. Those items will now have a referral fee of \u00a30.40, while items with a total sales price equal to or greater than \u00a32.67 will continue to have a referral fee of 15% of the total sales price.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Chris Dawson profile\" href=\"http:\/\/tamebay.com\/author\/chris\">Chris Dawson<\/a> at <a title=\"Tamebay - Amazon fee hike\" href=\"http:\/\/tamebay.com\/2014\/08\/amazon-fee-hike-minimum-referral-fees.html\">Tamebay<\/a> suggests sellers of low priced products may adapt and start selling \u201cproduct bundles rather than continue to sell products on an individual basis\u201d.
