Amazon has just announced that it is eliminating 6-month long-term storage fees. Starting on 15 February 2019, Amazon will ONLY charge a rolling long-term storage fee for items stored at an FBA warehouse for 365 days or more.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Also, the minimum 12-month long-term storage fee will be lowered from a $0.50 minimum to only a $0.15 minimum.<\/p>\n

This is good news for seller of smaller items that might be charged a 12-month long term storage fee.<\/p>\n

Amazon has said, effective February 15 2019, Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) is introducing the following changes:<\/p>\n

Long-term storage: <\/strong>We will eliminate long-term storage fees for units that have been in a fulfillment center for 181 to 365 days. The last long-term storage fee charge for inventory in a fulfillment center for 181 to 365 days will be January 15, 2019. We will continue to charge long-term storage fees for units we store for more than 365 days.<\/p>\n

Minimum long-term storage: <\/strong>We will reduce the minimum long-term storage fee on units that have been in a fulfillment center for more than 365 days from $0.50 per unit to $0.15 per unit. The last charge at $0.50 per unit will be January 15, 2019.<\/p>\n

Monthly inventory storage: <\/strong>We will introduce separate monthly storage fees for dangerous goods that contain flammable or pressurized aerosol substances. This change will first be reflected in April 2019 charges for storage that occurs in March 2019. Monthly inventory storage fees for other products will not change.<\/p>\n
