Reasons not to use Amazon repricers \u2014 you might be reading this and thinking, \u2018How can RepricerExpress be telling me not<\/em> to use them?\u2019 After all, we\u2019re constantly trumpeting repricers\u2019 abilities to help you win the Buy Box<\/a>, gain an extra edge in profit margins, save you time, and minimise the risk of human error. But there are a few cases in which you may not need to invest in one.<\/strong><\/p>

1. You Relish the Opportunity to Manually Input New Prices<\/h2>

Using a repricer is like driving a car with an automatic transmission: all you have to do is put your foot on the gas pedal and the car does the rest. There\u2019s no mental mathing to figure out which gear you need to be in as you approach a hill, nor any worrying about taking your foot off the clutch and stalling out.<\/p>

But let\u2019s be honest: using an automatic transmission takes the fun<\/em> out of driving. You\u2019re not in tune with the car at all and get little control over things like gear ratios and fuel economy. You\u2019re not driving the car; the car\u2019s driving you<\/em>.<\/p>

The same goes for using a repricer. Once you input your min and max values and pricing rules, software takes over the rest. You no longer get the fun of checking on competitors individually to see what they\u2019re up to \u2014 an app took that out of your hands. And forget about being able to stay on top of every SKU by calculating and recalculating their numbers \u2014 yep, a repricer will take over that, too.<\/p>

In fact, if you spend enough time manually inputting prices, you could almost forget that an Amazon repricer can do it faster and more efficiently than you could!<\/p>

2. Maximising Profits is Just Way Too Much Work<\/h2>

When my gas tank gets close to empty, I get lazy and pull into the first gas station I see, regardless if it\u2019s the highest-priced in the area. Who cares if I could have saved more at a different station? It\u2019s too much effort to google prices and figure out traffic routes. No thanks, I\u2019ll take the easy way out because I value simplicity and convenience.<\/p>

Using an Amazon repricer is similar. Sure, using one can squeeze out every last bit of profit that\u2019s available, but you actually have to sit down with it and tell it to do that. And who\u2019s got time for that? Not you! No, you want to minimise how much time you sit in front of a computer, even if using a repricer takes hardly any time at all and means you don\u2019t leave money on the table. Nope, ain\u2019t nobody got time for that.<\/p>

3. It\u2019s Too Mentally Taxing Figuring Out Min\/Max Values and Pricing Rules<\/h2>

Let\u2019s see, to get your min value, you have to figure out how much you paid for the product during this shipping cycle, factor in storage and fulfillment fees, maybe tweak things a bit if you fulfill on your own (i.e. packaging), work in Amazon fees, and make sure it\u2019s in line with your competitors. And that\u2019s just min values!<\/p>

I mean, we wrote a whole article about how to calculate min and max values<\/a>, never mind all the repricing rules you\u2019ll need. Who has that kind of brainpower?<\/p>

But hold on a second. If you read our article, you\u2019ll see we have plenty of real-life examples to go off of. You don\u2019t have to scratch your head and fumble around in the dark. And once you set your values, that\u2019s it. There\u2019s no more worrying if you\u2019ve got it right because the repricer\u2019s rules will take care of everything in between.<\/p>

Of course, if you still think it\u2019s too complicated, who are we to stand in the way?<\/p>

For everyone else, Amazon repricers<\/a> are a very good thing. They add time back to your life, reduce pricing and profit errors, help you win sales, and increase your chances of winning a Buy Box.
