Even if you\u2019re selling and not buying. <em>Especially<\/em> when you\u2019re selling.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Telling the Difference Between Feedback and Reviews<\/h2>\n<p>To the untrained ear, feedback and reviews sound like the same thing. After all, it\u2019s a buyer telling you what they thought of the product, right?<\/p>\n<p>Not exactly.<\/p>\n<p>Reviews consist of the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What a buyer thought of the product<\/li>\n<li>An opinion that helps future buyers decide if the quality of the product is for them<\/li>\n<li>It appears as a score out of five stars<\/li>\n<li>Affects the buyer\u2019s odds of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.repricerexpress.com\/win-amazon-buy-box\/\">winning a Buy Box<\/a>, as well as can possibly cause their account to be suspended or expelled (if it\u2019s continually bad)<\/li>\n<li>Are shown on the product\u2019s detail page on Amazon<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>When it comes to feedback, this is what you can expect:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>How good (or bad) the product\u2019s packaging and how fast (or slow) the shipping was<\/li>\n<li>What the work quality was like<\/li>\n<li>If they found you professional-acting and providing good customer support<\/li>\n<li>And if they would buy from you in the future<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>No matter if it\u2019s feedback or reviews, what a customer says provides valuable information for both you and future buyers. And it\u2019s important to keep your metrics up as much as possible so you can keep your account in good standing. Good numbers mean you can continue doing what you are, while bad numbers clearly show you where you need to improve.<\/p>\n<h2>Can Feedback and Reviews Be Removed?<\/h2>\n<p>In a nutshell, yes, feedback and reviews can be removed. But it\u2019s a little more complicated than that.<\/p>\n<p>If a buyer has left negative feedback, it\u2019s in your best interest to try and get that changed (or removed) so it doesn\u2019t affect your overall score. There are very specific criteria you have to meet if you want the feedback removed. The feedback has to contain one of the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Promotional content. For example, a buyer can\u2019t promote their own business or products on your review.<\/li>\n<li>Obscene or abusive language. Buyers are not allowed to write things like calling you names or denigrating you.<\/li>\n<li>Personal information. Buyers can include their names, but that\u2019s where it ends. They can\u2019t write anything more detailed than that about themselves or you, or else it\u2019s grounds for removal.<\/li>\n<li>Product reviews. When it comes to feedback, it has to be about you, the seller, and not the actual product.
